Error on QAC while assigning defect

Using "Defects" with updated GUI.

Existing defect where "Description" and "Expected Results" fields were HTML and Images had been included within these fields.

When attempting to reassign this defect using the "New" GUI Defects front end when pressing SAVE we get

Problems Found

Editor field "Description" is invalid. Too long string (287709). Maximum allowed number of characters : 65000.

Editor field "Expected Results" is invalid. Too long string (85888). Maximum allowed number of characters : 65000.

The Defect cannot be saved 

 We are however able to reassign this defect when using Traceability view

Can this issue be looked into as we cannot advocate using the "Defects" new gui - everyone will have to use Traceability view in QAC instead.
