Getting an error message "TF.EXE stopped working" when TFVC client is used for checkin

When i tried to connect to TFS via TFVC client. Getting an error message "TF.exe is stopped working". It says TFVC client uses "Microsoft Visual studio 2015" but in my control panel i have "Microsoft Visual studio Test Professional 2015" and "Team Explorer for Microsoft visual studio 2013". I think i satisfied all the prerequisites per the link "https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/83776/". Please let me know if i'm missing something

      yes, i had a visual studio 2013 version updated to visual studio 2015. I'm not seeing that error. But now i'm not able to check in into TFS. Attaching the screen shot of crashdump  before updation. thought the prerequisite says 2013 is compatible tool didnt take i think. Can you please list down the procedure of how to check in files to TFS thru TFVC client. I don't what i'm missing. Instructions in community is not helpful
