Can I re-convert a document?

Sometimes when I upload a document (Word) and then try to view it in the web interface, I get this error:

"Data for this page or image is not available in the content cache. This document might need to be reconverted."

And then:

"com.smartbear.ccollab.binary.BinaryFileConversionException: failed to parse document as PDF"

Is there a way to tell Collaborator to re-convert the document?

    Hi,

Depending on the version you are using the following can resolve this issue.

Go to "Admin > File Types (tab)" and remove the extensions for Word documents from the "Binary File Types:" field.

Restart the server for those changes to take effect.

    >>> Collaborator will try to re-convert the document if the document is uploaded again.

    Thanks!

We are using Collab v11.2 and I tried this on a test server and it worked.

However, I am worried - WHY does this work?

      Thank you.

        Additional info:

I was trying to fix a different problem. After upgrading to v11.2, all reviews with .doc and .docx files would not load the files into the review and for newly created reviews, it would sometimes display the files, but if I selected it to review, it would not display.
