InSite Communication Requirements

Monitoring behind the Firewall with an InSite appliance requires you to allow certain communication outbound through your local network to the internet and on to AlertSite. The following ports and routes must be opened for the InSite appliance to work properly:

 

Through the Firewall only:

 - TCP Port 22 Outbound to "insiterepair.alertsite.com" (209.156.160.90)

 - TCP Port 4892 Outbound to both ServerAgent Locations; primary and secondary

   (Remote location IP addresses here)

 

Through the Firewall or Proxy:

 - TCP Port 443 Outbound to "privateagent.alertsite.com" and to "privateagent.jupiter.alertsite.com"

   (These endpoints have dynamic IP addresses and must be whitelisted by host name)

 

If NO Mail Relay is used:

 - TCP Port 25 Outbound (to notification recipient mail servers)
