Theoretical throughput maxima for SoapUI?

Hey all,

I'm wondering... just how much of a load is a single SoapUI instance on a given machine capable of generating? And how would you measure such a thing? In, say, SOAP envelopes/sec?

This is one of those "how long is a piece of string?" sort of questions, of course. But I'm wondering, in the absence of a server capable of comfortably serving responses faster than SoapUI can dish out requests, how you'd establish it?

We do not have any specific numbers.
In reality, the maximum load created by soapUI can depend on a variety of factors like network speed, CPU, and memory.

If you're curious about the performance of your particular machine and soapUI running on it, you can create a Groovy script that counts the number of requests over a given period of time.
