Java.Exception when try to run a testcase with a DataSource Type DataConnection

Hi,

What I'm doing....
- Making a Teststep DataSource = Data Connection
- Define a Data Connection
- .... and so on, everything is working perfect.

Than I close SoapUI Build soapui-pro-3.0-dist-100-2009-07-09, Build Date 2009/07/09 11:08

After restarting SoapUI and try to run the testcase .....

Test started at 2009-09-08 14:31:00.500
TestCase failed [java.lang.Exception: Failed to prepare testStep [GET airvie.voucher]; com.eviware.soapui.support.SoapUIException: Please Select Connection/Driver&Connection string:java.lang.Exception: Failed to prepare testStep [GET airvie.voucher]; com.eviware.soapui.support.SoapUIException: Please Select Connection/Driver&Connection string], time taken = 0

Then only open the TestStep and everything is working fine.

Is there a way to run testcases without opening all Data Source/DataConnection

    Hello,

    It seems you are using a pretty old build. Could you please try upgrading to the latest nightly build to see if that solves your problem? Nightly builds are available here.

    Hello,

    sorry, but with the last build

    Build 3.0-pro-daily-build-2009-09-09-[1], Build Date

    the same error occurs.

    hmm.. is the rest of the project getting saved ok when you restart soapUI?

    Hi Ole,

    Everything of the whole project is working perfect, only the DataSources/DataConnection makes the problems.

    Hi Rene,

    I'm not able to reproduce this unfortunately, my steps are:

    1) create empty project, testsuite, testcase
    2) add datasource with data-connection, use the option to create a new data connection (to a mysql database)
    3) enter a query and add a property
    4) save and restart
    5) run the testsuite containing the testcase (without opening the teststep)

    works ok!?

    Can you attach your project so I can see if it is project-file related?

    Hi Ole,

    in the attachment you find my Project. I have reduced it to one Testcase with a DataConnection.

    When I open SoapUI and try to run the testcase the ErrMess occurs.

    TestSuite: AV-R100_Order
    Testcase: 020_CancelOrderAnonym
    TestStep: GET airvie_voucher

    1. Load Project
    2. Open the testcase
    3. Run the testcase ---> ErrMess


    I hope you can find the problem, maybe there is something I made wrong.

    Hi!

    if I load this project into the nightly build I get an error related to failed DB-connection, it the setting seems to get loaded ok!? Are you testing this with the latest build or the old build you were using previously..!?

    Do you get any other errors in any of the log tabs at the bottom of the soapUI window?

    Same error occurs. You wrote me, that you have the same error.... so I think there must be something wrong during loading the testcase. with the Connections.

    Sorry, I forgot... there are no other errors in one of the log tabs.

    Hi,

    now I have my own account "Werner Blueml" for SoapUi Pro.
    We have two licenses in company but only one account for Rene and so he makes all posts.

    Do you have some news for me ?
