I have http requests and some assertion added. I tried to delete the assertion using the 'Delete' key and confirmation pop up came.Accepting the confirmation pop up does not do anything and I could not delete assertion any more. Only after restarting I can delete those assertions

Can you try like this. Have a http request and add some assertions. Let's say there are three assertions.
Delete the second the assertion first, instead of deleting the first assertion

This looks more like a workspace corruption. Save all your projects, create a new workspace, switch to the new workspace and re-import all your projects. This should do the trick. What is your version?
