Thats ok avidCoder .  It takes time to optimize. But,yes can simplifed as below entire script:

 

def json = new groovy.json.JsonSlurper().parseText(context.expand( '${GetLoansList#Response}' ))
log.info json.items.find{it.name = 'LAI-00152581'}.id
