4.6.0 to 4.6.2 - update link to wrong version; slower

Hi,

1.) 4.6.0 send me to this page http://sourceforge.net/projects/soapui/files/ to update to 4.6.2. Problem is on that page is only 32x version, and my 4.6.0 was 64x. At first I trusted link and didn't noticed wrong version. Soap UI worked very slowly at sending request and I finally noticed I got wrong version. 64x version I found on your main page.

This problem looks to be corrected on sourceforge. I downloaded 64 bit version for windows from there.

2.) With right version (64x) requests are still slower (in 4.6 it was in a moment and with 4.6.2 it is in seconds, sometimes more than 15 s). Older works great and newer is too slow. Any suggestions?

Are you saying that the teststep requests are slower in 4.6.2? When was the last time you tested the webservice with SoapUI 4.6?

I noticed 4.6.2 did not overwrite 4.6.0 or unistalled it. Now there are 2 of them in SmartBear folder.

The software does not automatically uninstall, and does not overwrite previous versions as you can have multiple versions of SoapUI installed.

I use both soap UI 4.6 and 4.6.2 at the same time.
When I submit request to specified endpoint url in 4.6 I got reply at the same moment, and with 4.6.2 I wait in seconds for ongoing request.

I don't know what you mean by teststep request. My use of Soap UI comes down to typing in initial wsdl of project and clicking green play button.

This sounds serious, although I don't think it's a general problem - we haven't seen it while testing before the release.

Could you tell us some more about your requests? Are you sending requests of running test suites? Using SOAP and/or REST, over HTTP or HTTPS?

I send only SOAP 1.2 over HTTP, local on my computer (windows 7 x64).
Both versions of Soap UI are x64. I reinstalled 4.6.2 and it is the same.

I send both with test suites and without them.
It's from 100 to 1000 times slower when I'm running testcase and about 1000 times slower when submiting request (5 ms to 5000 ms).

Actually when I create test suite in 4.6.2 I need to wait few seconds to create it, and in 4.6 it is created right away.
So it's not just with sending, it's about application processing I would say.

For testcase it has constant slowness with intervals of extra slowness. And as it appears to me every first time by now was extra slow. I bolded extra slow for better overview.

But with 4.6 there are also slower intervals, just time is around 500 ms when extra slow, and around 50 ms normally (30 - 60, sometimes 100).
Edited: It is interesting when one would divide maximum and minimum amplitude of normal time taken for testcase, the resulting subtraction is very similar if not the same in 4.6. and 4.6.2. Like someone just added some amount of seconds on real needed time.

This may be specific to your environment. I would like to know more details of the kind of SOAP request you are making.

Are you doing any security in your soap requests (i.e WS-Security)?
Are you using any WS-* bindings in your soap requests?
Or is this just a regular soap request with nothing "special" about it?

I am using WS http binding without security and without client credentials.
Also I use "must understand".

The 32/64 bit issue is *not* resolved as per 11 Dec. When I clicked on the new version notice in my 64-bit SOAPUI 4.5.1.1 it downloaded the 32-bit 4.6.2 installer.

I downloaded the 64 bit version of SoapUI 4.6.2 and it installed with no problem. Are you saying that the 4.6.2 installer was copied to your SOAPUI 4.5.1.1 folder?
