# How Trust levels and Badges work

### Trust Levels

The more you take part, the more you can do. Trust levels unlock features automatically as you read, post and help others. Nobody has to approve you.

| Level | Name | How you get there | What it unlocks |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 0 | New | Sign up | Read, reply and create topics (some limits on links and images) |
| 1 | Basic | Read 5 topics and 30 posts over 10 minutes | Upload images, add links, send messages, flag posts |
| 2 | Member | Visit 15 days, reply 3 times, receive likes | Invite others, more likes per day, wiki edits |
| 3 | Regular | Steady activity over the last 100 days | Recategorise and rename topics, more weight on flags |
| 4 | Leader | Granted by Admin (Champions and employees) | Edit any post, pin, close and merge topics |

### Badges

Badges recognise milestones, from reading the guidelines to having your answer marked as a solution. A few to start with:

- **Read Guidelines:** read the Community Guidelines
- **Autobiographer:** fill in your profile
- **First Like:** like a helpful post
- **Certified:** finish the interactive tutorial
- **Solved:** have a reply marked as the solution
