The Imported folder is merely a temporary storage area for your imports. Move content from here to the release level and then you’ll be able to map the Requirements to Testcases.
Also, consider using the Jira Sync configuration for sync’ing with Jira based on a criteria rather than a fixed set of Jira issues (as with the External Requirement approach).

Hi
Question is if I can move them from imported folder to release folder via api or is it possible to do this only via gui by user?

The API call you need is very similar to the move of a tree for testcases:
https://zephyrenterprisev3.docs.apiary.io/#reference/testcasetree/move-testcase-tree
Instead, we use:
POST https://milan.yourzephyr.com/flex/services/rest/latest/requirementtree/move/1082/to/0/5
1082 refers to the treeID (which you can also see in the address bar in the GUI)
0 refers to the folder ID, so 0 is the parent folder
5 refers to the release ID

This is great. And is there any way to find the requirements tree id from Imported folder via API call or only from front end? I know it's in the UI. But Advanced search API does not find that inside the project or relalease
