Yep. I agree with Alex. Not enough info here.Normally load tests are carried out against servers and suchlike to see how they cope under a heavy volume of users/traffic/transactions.Exactly what is it you're trying to load/performance test about a Delphi based desktop app? Doesn't sound like something that would normally be performance tested. Unless it's retrieving info from a remote server in which case it would more likely be the server you should be looking at, rather than the endpoint application ....

Hi Sanghamitra,a) TestComplete is not freeware;b) As it was said previously, you are not providing any info or sample about what actually you need to test. Considering your postings, I am doubting that you need exactly *load testing* and/or for the Delphi application. My guess that you might need concurrency testing, but this is just a wild guess and I think that you will get no other answer until you provide us with the sample of one of your planned tests;c) As per http://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/55519/, the lowest supported version of Delphi is 7.0. Version 5.0 was supported, but with the previous versions of TestComplete. There is a chance that you will be able to work with your application using TestComplete 10 (which is the actual version at the moment), but you'd better try it yourself by requesting TestComplete trial via http://smartbear.com/product/testcomplete/free-trial/

Thanks for your reply. Load complete tool will support windows application(Delphi Application) else suggest me which tool is used for load testing to test window application.

Our application developed by Delphi 5.

Considering, that terms in testing are often misused, you'd better describe what you'd like to test. Or mention here one sample test that you are going to implement. This might help to better understand what you need.

Hi Team,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. We want to know is there any load/performance testing tool about a Delphi based desktop app ? Please let us know. We found a lot but just want to confirm which tool supports Delphi 5. For .NET and java so many tools are available but it seems very rare for Delphi and we are searching some free ware tools .

Hi ,

we are working on Delphi product (Delphi5), need to do performance testing on it.Whether Load Complete Tool supports Delphi5 or any plugins need to be installed in the Load complete to perform test.Kindly reply as soon as possible.
