soapui mock services getting unresponsive, requests are not logged to [mockservicename]-soapui.log

I am facing a strange issue with soap ui mock services. [mockservicename]-soapui.log is generated by mockservicerunner.sh, it says service started on port [xxxx] but when I try to access webservice it is unresponsive. Nothing gets printed in [mockservicename]-soapui.log. If I kill the service and restart using mockservicerunner it works fine. It is happening with random mock services. Any pointer towards a solution is much appreciated.
