Re: Issue in displaying object tree
Thanks for reply tristaanogre. AUT is a desktop application coded in C#, it includes a lot of data which is displayed within various grids. The easiest way is to give an example. Below is 'Full name' from Object Spy Window. It represents row selected in dynamically created grid. Dynamic object names are bolded. What is the best way to manage them and have robust test case always pointing that row ? Sys.Process("ApplicationName", 2).WPFObject("HwndSource:MainWindowControl").WPFObject("MainWindowControl").WPFObject("Grid", "", 1).WPFObject("DockManager").WPFObject("DocumentContentHost", "", 1).WPFObject("TabbedDocumentSplitPane", "", 1).WPFObject("Zcd8e29f28d584d54a3ba0e10487519ca").WPFObject("SplitPane", "", 1).WPFObject("Z45137e363ba64115b0e53fe050d7433a").WPFObject("Pane").WPFObject("DynamicEditingGrid", "", 1).WPFObject("Grid", "", 1).WPFObject("DynamicEditingGridControl").WPFObject("Grid", "", 1).WPFObject("DataGrid").WPFObject("Grid", "", 1).WPFObject("RecordListControl", "", 1).WPFObject("DataRecordPresenter", "", 3).WPFObject("DockPanel", "", 1).WPFObject("RecordSelector", "", 1)1.5KViews0likes2CommentsIssue in displaying object tree
Hi, I check out TestComplete as a tool to test C# application. I faced the following issue - I’m not able to get object tree, when I go with Object Spy > Highlight object in the object tree I receive message "cannot highlight this object in the object tree" but this object exists on the screen and when I use function 'Highlight object on the screen' it is highlighted. It happens to each object I tried (WPFobject such as buttons, cells). Any ideas why and how to see whole object tree? I 'm facing quite a lot dynamic grids so this would be very helpful.1.5KViews0likes5CommentsRe: How to write a reusable script Library
Hope somebody still follows this post. Script works fine for me when I use 1 method only in the class, but always when I try to add another one none of them work then and return java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke method on null object. Any ideas/solutions ?9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Looping Test Suite
In my opinion, for automated tests its a basic thing to have possibility to run the test suite x times. For instance I need to execute test cases for every single user from the list of logins/passwords reading from csv file and I need to update some test suite properties before the next text suite execution. The recent solution I found is script below Im gonna put as the last test step (groovy script) in the last test case of my test suite: if(some condition) { WsdlProject project = new WsdlProject("my_project_name.xml"); TestSuite ts = project.getTestSuiteByName("My_test_suite_name"); TestRunner runner = ts.run(new PropertiesMap(), false); } Any suggestion ?3.7KViews0likes1CommentLooping Test Suite
Hey, these are still my first steps in SOUPUI (open source) and I'm facing a problem which should seem as a simple one but it's not, I didn't find any solution/answer so far...so this is a question to you - how to loop the whole test suite ? I've got several test cases and I want to repeat X times all of them, repeat the test suite. I thougth GOTO be helpful but it works with test steps under test case only. Appreciate any tips.3.8KViews0likes7Comments
