Flex: how to check if the control has focus?
Hello, I'm testing a Flex application and I need to check if some specific control (textbox, button) is focused after performing some actions. But I can't find any property that would let me know if the control has a focus. Does anybody know a way how to do that? Thanks!12KViews0likes1CommentRe: VisibleOnScreen property always TRUE
Regarding the problem that I mentioned earlier. I've talked to the developers of the Flex app that I'm testing and found a solution. The 'Visible' property of the control itself is true, but the container in which it resides has the visibility value of false, therefore it is not visible to the user. So this means that I have to go up the tree to find a parent node that has a 'visible' value set to false to find out if the control is visible to the user. Like so: Aliases.SomeFlexLabel.FlexObject.parent.parent.parent.....parent.visible Shouldn't this be done automatically by TestComplete when accessing VisibleOnScreen property?1.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: VisibleOnScreen property always TRUE
Hi, Thanks for the reply! I've updated to 8.6 and still have the same behavior. The objects that behave like this are Label, RadioButton, Spinner, Shape. The LinkButton object seems to be working correctly. I can't tell for other objects, because these are only ones I could test. When I cover the area where the object should be with some other window (e.g. TestComplete), then the VisibleOnScreen property turns to false.2.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: VisibleOnScreen property always TRUE
I have similar problem. I'm testing a Flex application. I need to check if the control is visible to the user, so naturally I figured I'd check if VisibleOnScreen is true or false, but the problem is that this property is true even if the control is not visible. If I try to highlight it on screen it just highlights the empty area where the control should be. The Exists and Visible properties are also true. I have no idea how to check if the control is visible or not. Can someone please help me? Maybe it's a bug in TestComplete?2.4KViews1like0Comments- 958Views0likes0Comments

Unable to check check-boxes in the TreeView
Hi, I'm trying to check the check-boxes in the TreeView available in Internet Explorer 7 in Internet Options window under Advanced tab (you can see it in the attached screen shot). I tried to use CheckItem method, but I get an error: "The TVS_CHECKBOXES window style is not set." I am using TestComplete 7.52.678.7. Can anyone suggest anything to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!12KViews0likes2Comments
