Cannot recognize Sys.Browser("firefox").Page(anything) in firefox 53 or 54 after update
Good evening, Today I updated my Firefox to 54 and my TestComplete 12.30 to use the patch for Firefox 54. After I did that, I have been unable to get TestComplete to recognize any pages I initialize with the code below. I even tried going back to Firefox 53.0.3 and it hasn't helped. I'm on Windows 10. The test causes the browser to navigate to the url given. But TestComplete doesn't seem to recognize it during the test... It does recognize the Page object in the Object Browser afterward, however. There is according to the Object Browser supposed to be a ToUrl method... I haven't ever used it successfully, or ever needed it. I have consistently used TC with Firefox with the following code, as part of a longer routine. It's simple but it's clear. "url" is one of several different simple sites which I can reach successfully while browsing normally. Browsers.Item(btFirefox).Run(url); browser = Sys.Browser("firefox"); page = Sys.Browser("firefox").Page(url); Please advise on a solution if one is known. I know this patch is new. Thanks a lot (including thanks for the earlier help, for you who gave it). Alex PS: I should note that I have turned off multi-process mode as encouraged previously.664Views0likes0CommentsFirefox 53 and Alert recognition (including WaitAlert) - default multi-process mode issue
Hello, I've just (accidentally) upgraded my Firefox from version 47 or 48 or so to 53. I have the latest patch for TestComplete 12.30 to work with this version of Firefox. But I am now having problems with alert elements (in JScript) that I wasn't having before - I can't seem to use them at all. I'm trying .Alert and WaitAlert where they worked before and not having any luck with object recognition. Is this a recognized issue with recent versions of Firefox? Have things changed? Thanks for any help. AlexSolved1.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Patches for Firefox 50 and maybe Firefox 47.0.2
Hi Alex, I hadn't installed FF 50 yet, but I did yesterday. When I tried to run a test yesterday, TestComplete 12 never opened the page at all. It was better than the message about the version not being supported that I got with 47.0.2 in TC 11. The patch from today for Firefox 50 works in TC12. Thanks.1.9KViews1like0CommentsPatches for Firefox 50 and maybe Firefox 47.0.2
Good afternoon, I would like to use TestComplete 11 or 12 with Firefox. The latest version, released today, is Firefox 50. There is no patch available. When should we expect a patch for Firefox 50 support? This is my primary question. Second: Unfortunately I upgraded to Firefox 47.0.2. Thiswas apparently released at the beginning of November, after the end of life for version 47 (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox_version_history#Firefox_47 and https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease#4.0.x_and_Previous_Releases_.5Bjoduinn.2C_.5D ). The version 47 patch for TestComplete 11 does not seem to support 47.0.2. Are there any plans to support Firefox 47.0.2 in TestComplete 11 or 12? Thanks very much. -AlexSolved2KViews0likes4CommentsPlease make clear that TestComplete version 11.20 supports Firefox on the FF patch page
EDIT: The patches page should make VERY clear that the most up-to-date versionsof TestComplete are supported by your latest Firefox patches. Based on two other forum posts, I see that 11.20 does support up to Firefox 42 / 38.4: http://community.smartbear.com/t5/Functional-Web-Testing/Firefox-38-4-released-As-usual-TestComplete-does-not-support-it/m-p/108131#U108131 http://community.smartbear.com/t5/Functional-Web-Testing/Support-of-FireFox-ESR-38-4/m-p/108474#U108474 Nothing on this page, at present, discusses TestComplete 11.20. https://support.smartbear.com/downloads/testcomplete/firefox-patches/?utm_source=site-search&utm_medium=search-results&utm_campaign=site-search-c&utm_term=firefox+testcomplete#_ga=1.97157215.1583018677.1430149061 See attached screenshot for current state of the page. Thanks. Original post below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From the Firefox patches page, I see that versions of Firefox up to 42 are supported. However, none of the patches listed apply to TestComplete version 11.20. Does TestComplete version 11.20 support Firefox at all? I don't want to upgrade from 11.11 to 11.20 if 11.20 doesn't support Firefox. (I am using it for my current project.) It's possible that 11.20 does support Firefox. That's not communicated to me anywhere, which makes the upgrade decision difficult.Solved1.2KViews0likes1CommentThe link to send a message to LoadComplete support doesn't work, redirects to itself
http://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=LoadComplete The link to contact support for LoadComplete 3 does not work. It redirects users to the Select a Product page. I apologize if this is the wrong place to put this notice.Solved2.3KViews0likes2CommentsSharing LoadComplete Pro and Free files, plus Remote Agents: Can a team collaborate on a load testing project that will also use many virtual machines?
I am working on a series of load tests. My company already has a single license for LoadComplete Pro. As expected, only one member of our team can use LoadComplete Pro at a given time. 1) Would we be able to get LoadComplete Free on our machines as well, and collaborate that way? If projects made in one version of LoadComplete can be loaded in another, we could share our ability to generate tests. I know that LoadComplete Free has limited functionality, with a lower number of virtual users available for tests, but being able to edit our work in this way would help our workflow. 2) Independent of our LoadComplete Free downloads, could we use LoadComplete Remote Agent on various virtual machines, along with our LoadComplete Pro license, in order to simulate more than 200 virtual users in one test at once, up to about 1000? I ask because I see that LoadComplete Free's installation binds its licenseto a physical machine, regardless of the virtual machine being used at the time. It seems to me that it would be easier logistically if LoadComplete Remote Agent's processes operating under the direction of a test in LoadComplete Pro, can operate separately from the LoadComplete Free instances on any given physical machine. Thanks, and let me know if you want me to clarify anything. Best, Alex1.5KViews0likes0Comments
