I am not able to spy them separately using text recognition too. I also tried with object tree in object browser, but couldn't help. I also tried finding within properties of the panel. But I am able to spy the button named display which is present within the same panel.I need the Text 1 and Text 2. Helloghuff2, It is not justnot about Enabled property. Test Complete is not able to get the actual Label value ,wndCaption and Class name etc. I tried to spy same object in few other spying tools to cross check, I also used Spy++ tool and I have attached the details I got. The same object when spied in TestComplete shows "Label3": Can I know to get actual property values what should I do in test Complete? Note: Its happening only in 1 button in the window. Other buttons are fine.1KViews0likes1Comment- 1.5KViews0likes1Comment
A button has no Class and shows enabled property as "true" even when the button is disabled.
Hello, My window has a button which looks like other buttons around it. 1>But it is not having Class as other buttons . 2>The button shows the name "HIS" on it but when I spy the Caption and NativeVBobject is shown just as Label3. 3>When button is enabled or disabled always it shows Enabled property as "True".(Leads to fail my validation when button is disabled) I tried: 1> adding its neighbor button's Class to text recognition. 2>Manually traced for "HIS" name in object browser tree. I am attaching the spied properties: Kindly help me validate when the button is disabled. Regards, Nimeshika1.1KViews0likes5CommentsClick an object using FullName property
Hello, I have a panel with wndClass :WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.378734a_r49_ad1 It has two items in its list namely Auto1 address : Sys.Process("FileMaintenance").WinFormsObject("frmSuperbill").WinFormsObject("panelMain").WinFormsObject("ctrlHeading-331").WinFormsObject("panelMain").WinFormsObject("lblDescription") and Auto2 address : Sys.Process("FileMaintenance").WinFormsObject("frmSuperbill").WinFormsObject("panelMain").WinFormsObject("ctrlHeading-338").WinFormsObject("panelMain").WinFormsObject("lblDescription") The number in red keeps changing. I need to click on Auto 2, Text recognition did not work. I used the following logic: function ClickAuto() { a=Sys.Process("FileMaintenance").WinFormsObject("frmSuperbill").WinFormsObject("panelMain").WinFormsObject("ctrlHeading-*").WinFormsObject("panelMain").WinFormsObject("lblDescription") if(a.Text == "Auto2") b= a.FullName //b holds the FullName of the object with name Auto2 b.Click() //Click is not supported } HOW CAN I PERFORM CLICK OPERATION by using the FULL NAME property? Hi NisHera, I understood what you told. Thanks for suggestion. But I was searching a way if Test Complete provided an option to name only the images. Anyways if there is no such option then automating the script would be better. It would be helpful if you share the script you use tocreate a folder with own naming convention and save pictures. Hi NisHera, Thanks for replying :) If I run my project for 100 times then each time I need to create a folder and then save my pictures . This is what you meant? If yes, then wouldn't it be an extra unwanted effort when Test complete has capability tocreate folders in log for each run? Regards, Nimeshika1.6KViews0likes1Comment
