sometimes unable to find the object Browser("f​irefox")

I just realized that i am not only one who has this issue, i followed the instruction of doc "preparing FF" and TC still does not recognize ff as browser occasionally.

weired thing is, if i restart TC, page will be recognized as browser again.

this is a quit big issue for my web tests, can someone tell me how you work around it?

Hi,

I also had the same issue some time back. Looks like TC sometimes take time to update the object hierarchy.

You can use Sys.WaitBrowser method before using any browser object.

Browser = "firefox" 

if Sys.WaitBrowser(Browser, 60000).Exists Then
  set Obj= Eval("Sys.Browser(""" & browser & """)
Else
  Log.Error "Browser not found"
End If
