Is there a Not Applicable status for a test?

When running a Test Case, you have the option of passing or failling the test. What happens if that particular test is Not Applicable? Is there a way the skip the test, but have a status different than Pass or Fail?

Move the contents of one project into another project in ALM Complete

Is there a way in ALM Complete to move the contents of one project into another project?

If the tool doesn't provide this functionality, could I just use SQL to modify the project id from all elements of one project, to another, directly in the database?

Test Set Collaboration Between Multiple Testers

In our group, divide up a specific test set, and assign a portion to several testers. For example, instead of one tester addressing sixty test cases, we would have three testers addressing twenty test cases each.

Our problem, is that ALM Complete does not seem to allow for this type of collaborative testing, as each tester see's only a 'local' view of the statuses for all test cases om the test set. For example, if each of the three testers has completed ten test cases each, each tester would only see the ten test cases they personally completed in their 'view' of the test set. They would not see the other twenty test cases completed by the other two testers.

Is there a configuration setting, or some other method, which would enable the testers to see test case statuses from the other testers working on the same test set?

How to hide defect entry fields from certain users i.e customers

I have searching for a way to add fields to the submit defect screen and have been successful. Now I would like to be able to hide those fields from our customers but have the employees ability to use these fields. How would I be able to do this?

Comparing PDF or other formats

This issue has been discussed many times but is there perhaps another way to convert a PDF file either to XPS or DOC file and compare using TestComplete?
Having more that 100 PDF forms to verify another solution would be great.

Test Management - Test Sets - Dashboard is Blank

I have a project which has many Test Cases in the Test Management tab. There is a Test Set linked to a Release, and that Test Set has 15 Test Cases associated.

When I am in the Dashboard on the Test Management tab, each of the 4 portals display the text "No records meet this criteria" even though there have been Test Runs against the Test Set linked to the Release.

What are the exact parameters that need to be met in order for the 4 portals on the Test Management/Test Sets Dashboard to show data?

Pausing an individual Test within a Test Set

Can you pause an individual test within a test set and resume it at a later date?

Currently we have a test with 120 steps. This can take 2 days to run and is done duing down time in between tasks. This test is in the test library and then assigned to a test set. A user ran half way through this test set, recording the details as they went, and then paused the test to be continued the next day.

When they resumed the test set the next day, they had lost all their data.

I ran a scenario and found you could have several tests within a test set. You can run one of these tests, and then pause the test set. You can then resume the other tests, while the detail of the first passed test is kept.

Is it possible to be able to just pause the individual test as well, and resume at a later date?

Purging Test Set runs

Is there a method for purging or resetting a test set run history? I've noticed that if I ended a test run by mistake, or select the run options when ending a test run to handle the remaining tests that weren't ran, there's no way to remove the run from the Run History section.

Company Logo space allocation/hide option

Is there a way to make the Company Logo area in the bottom left corner of the interface take up less room, or be hidden altogether? Some users who are working on smaller screens (laptops etc) are reporting it is making the left pane of Releases/Folders/Groups display very few lines. Is there a way to clear some real estate to make this area larger on small screens? I tried making the company logo smaller, but it seems there is a set amount of space allocated.

Preferred Way To See Currenly Logged In Users

If I want to determine who is currently logged in, I go to the Setup tab, expand the Security icon, click on the Users icon, and filter on Logged On = yes.

Yesterday, I found out that a user was actually logged into the system, but wasn't shown as logged on in the Users screen. What is the preferred (and accurate) method to determine which users are currently logged on?
