Top 10 report in LC

Hello,

Please advise if there is a way to increase the amount of requests in this report.

I have renamed the reports of my interest in Scenario and I can easily identify them in Top 10 report but they not always get to the top 10.

Or another scenario: can I get only flagged (or specified explicitly) requests/responses get into the Top 10 report?

Issues while replaying Load complete scenario with new Variables from Spread sheet

Hi SmartBear,

Downloaded and recorded on the latest version of LoadComplete 2.60 (10/3/2012)

Recorded a scenario on newer version of Load Complete 2.60, difficulty in replaying the scenario using different varaiables in excel Spread sheet while specifing the path of the paramter file in "Set Parameter Values" table, Does not show the File path as specified,

The path specified was C:\NewAssessment_NoPort.xlsx, sheet name “ HICN_New Assessment”

But it appears “..\..\ NewAssessment_NoPort.xlsx” Hence a pop up errors "Loadcomplete is unable to find Data Source(parameter file to fetch the variables" [PFA]

For more details please find the screen shot in document attached, Please advise or let me know if any patch available.This is a show stopper for my testing efforts.

How to run the WebServices test

Web service method has
Input and O/P functions

Input has one function- using this i will pass the variable
O/P has one function- using this i will get the values

But, how to invoke those two Web services

LoadComplete 2.6 update released

Greetings all!

We have just released LoadComplete 2.6, which includes some important new functionality as well as bugfixes.

The most important improvement in the release is the ability to structure scenarios to more closely correspond to the browser user experience, which is generally defined by pages. LoadComplete 2.6 supports:

Inserting custom page breaks during scenario recording from the recording widget
Inserting and deleting page breaks into a recorded scenario
Adjusting think time at the page level
Scenario sorting by all pages and custom pages
Editing page names and adding comments, for better readability of scenarios

These features allow users to define pages in terms that are meaningful to their scenarios, which is particularly relevant for load testing RIA applications (AJAX, Flex, Silverlight), and track performance metrics for the user defined pages in the load testing reports.

We have also introduced the following new functional changes and enhancements:

LoadComplete can record HTTPS traffic in Firefox, in addition to previously supported Internet Explorer.
Think time is now aggregated and recorded for pages only. All previous options and dialogs related to think time apply solely to page think times. This is more aligned with common load testing practices and also gives users much fewer points to edit think time data
Requests are marked with different icons depending on the type of the resource
Support for several authentication protocols has been improved (Kerberos, NTLM, Digest)

If statements and Loops

Hi,

Is there a way to specify if statements in a scenario? For example, I want to be able to only execute a particular request if the previous response contains certain data.

Also, is there a way to specify loops as well, so that I can have specific requests run multiple times?

String operations on a parameter value as input to another parameter

I have parameter A which is populated by extracting data from a previous Response.

I now want to create parameter B which will contain a substring of parameter A and use this in next Request.

Is this possible and how do we do this?

Execution progress - in real time

The Execution Progress tab simply gives a % in terms of how far the script is executing. It does not tell you exactly which request(s) are being processed. Sometimes, my scripts go to 80% and stay there and I'm sitting around wondering which request exactly is being executed.

Is there a way to view this information at run time?

Greetings all!

We have just released LoadComplete 2.1, which is a bugfix update.
Version 2.1 addresses the following issues:

Parameterization wizard now supports RIA formats (including AMF, JSON, XML and binary XML). With the updated wizard, you get a convenient single list of all request parameters for the recorded scenario all in one place. Previously, (v2) RIA request parameters were available only within the Scenario Editor view, under each request.
Microsoft just released Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2585542) that may cause errors with HTTPS recording in IE using earlier versions of LoadComplete. Version 2.1 works correctly with and without this Windows Update.
Support for encoded URLs was added
Post-simulation data processing and report generation times were improved.

Problem in entering records in the database w.r.t VU

Load Scenario: - User login into the application and create a new "Item".

   When try to run the Load Scenario with 500 VU Load Profile Start with 5 Users add 50 Users every 20 sec, Only 180 items are entered in the database.
   When try to run the Load Scenario with 500 VU Load Profile Start with 5 Users add 30 Users every 20 sec, Only 260 items are entered in the database.
       Please guide what Performance measures should I take to make my web Server to enter data for all 500 items for all the 500 VU and also guide me what make my server not able to enter all the items w.r.t VU in the database. Where exactly the problem exists???

find and Replace All Option

Hi,

I want to replace the existing URLwth another URL in all my scenarios.

I achieved above using Replace all in Test Complete but in load complete that option is not there, i checked with the Smart bear tech support people. They are saying that it removed, but it is available in the help file.

Can you please give your ideas to achieve the above.

Data Driven Load Test

Hi everyone,

I am trying to change an input in an HTTP request so that it takes it's info from an Excel spreadsheet. My basic understanding is that I must use the "Set Parameter Values" button to find that input and change the source. Unfortunately that input does not appear in the "set paramaters values" box even with all the options checked (Show form paramaters, show URL parameters and Show paramaters with assigned values).

I'm not sure why this does not appear as it is a value that was entered manually during recording. Here is a screenshot of my project and the value that I would like to change to be data driven.

Any help would be appreciated.

Visual Log File

Hello,

Is there a way to visually see the results of a scenario execution? After making a recording, I have parsed out some data and updated the URLs with variables. So after re-executing the scenario, is there a way to visually see the pages that I'm hitting to make sure that my variables are correct? I know some other tools (HP LoadRunner, SilkPerformer, etc.) have this feature, and I'm wondering if LoadComplete does as well.

Enabling/Disabling static content

Hi,

Is there a way to globally disable the downloading of all static content during a test? In my recording, there is the main request, and then a whole bunch of requests for things like images, etc. I want to be able to run some load tests that have all the images downloaded, but also run tests that do not download these things. So I'm wondering if there is a global flag for this.

Note that I cannot simply delete the images because I want to be able to run some tests that do have the images.

Report Graph Interpretation

Hi,

I'm just looking at a report from a basic load test that I have run. But the graph seems off... It would seem like I have 60 000 errors at one point during test but this could not be possible as I'm running very few users in this test (45 at peek).

Is it my interpretation of the "y" axis for errors that is wrong or is this correct?

I attached a screenshot of the actual graph.
