Code Collaborator 5.0.5041 - Mac - Cannot connect to TFS

I am attempting to use Code Collaborator's GUI client on my Mac OSX 10.7 to connect for the first time to our existing TFS servers to no avail.

I have compared my settings on the Mac to those on my Windows XP box and they appear to be the same, however I get some strange error messages.

When I press 'Add Changes...', the error message reads:

Error initializing Add to Review Wizard
Reason:
A client error occurred: The Team Foundation Server project collection URL to use could not be determined the options or argument paths provided. Specify a login profile or workspace, or user the 'collection' option.

When I press 'Add Shelvesets...', the error message reads:

Error initializing Add to Review Wizard
Reason:
An argument error occurred: shelvesets requires zero or one shelveset names.

Both of these error dialog give me the option to save the error log, however nothing gets saved when I try to do this.

Synchronized scrolling missing in Diff Viewer in Code Collaborator 7

We recently upgraded from Code Collaborator 6 to 7. The scrolling in the Diff Viewer for side-by-side reviews was synchronized. When the left pane was scrolled, the right pane also scrolled. This feature seems to have disappeared from Code Collaborator 7. How can we turn it back on? I looked in the HELP file and found no information. I'm using FireFox 14.0.1 as my web browser.

Change Basic Authentication to LDAP

I have a Code collaborator system using Basic Authentication.

Now I want to change it to LDAP authentication.

I have re-install it with the LDAP setting. It seems to be OK.

However, the next step is I want to link the Domain Account with the old existing User Account.

e.g. Old Account "Toby", now the Domain Account is "TobyWong".

How can I change the old Account Toby to TobyWong so that I can check my reviews.

Is there any way we could add create parameters to the P4 client?

We need to fill a custom field on the review which comes from P4 Description. Is there a way we could configure the P4 SCM client(CodeCollaborator Client) so it would get the parameters from the P4 description and put it into the new review's custom field?

I know that the title has the P4 description, and a create trigger could parse text from it, but the trigger needs to login every time and this is really slow. So the nicest way would be to set parameters to the CodeCollaborator Client.

Mercurial Integration and Code Reviews

I'm looking for guidance on how we can leverage

CodeCollaborator7 client software with Mercurial successfully. We are having

trouble getting the following scenarios listed below to run successfully. Our

practice is to Commit the file changes to our local repositories then submit

those changes for code review before merging to the master repository. I've

reviewed the documentation on the support site and believe we need to use the ‘Add

Mercurial Diffs..’ feature. There are a couple of commands here -r and -c, what

configuration of these commands are required for each of the three scenarios

below. For item 1 the -c with the revision number for review works successfully.

I've had less luck in getting using the -r command for the subsequent

submissions.

1. Initial submission

2. Follow up submission

3. Submissions with were external revisions brought in between reviews (less likely, but could happen)

Reporting Question for Code Collaborator

Hi ,

I have a request to report the grandparent/parent group id of a review which by the grandchild group id has been entered in the review.

Group structure Defintion

Product Engineering (PE) (Grand Parent- L1)
    Product Engineering (PE) Intergration (Parent –L2 )
            Product Engineering (PE) Custom Design(Child- L3)
            Product Engineering (PE) Porting (Child – L3)

Sample Data

The groupgroups table allows me to find parent id of the child but there is no way for me to get the grandparent info ( in this case it is Product Engineering PE

Based on what I checked in the code collaborator interface, the information can be accessed through the Groupancestry table. I have already tried with the prefix of username i.e ccgrp1. Groupancestry , it still says table or view not found. Do you know how can I get access to this table to get the child information?

Our administrator says this field is listed in the documentation as intentionally undocumented. This means DO NOT USE this table.

So what is the alternative available for me to get access to get the mapping of the grandparent/parent/child mapping without using the
Groupancestry table? Otherwise how to get the mapping information which involve multiple level?

Switch from basic to LDAP authentication

Hello,

According to http://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/26027/#switch-authentication, you switch by "re-running the installer".

What, then, happens to the existing users and code reviews? Are the users (assuming their basic user ID is the same as the LDAP) automatically switched seamlessly? Or do those users have to be deleted, and then the LDAP authenticated accounts be created?

Config p4 plugin on Mac

I have recently installed the collaborate client 7.0 on a Mac. However, the p4 plugin doesn't work. In particular, when I try to add a change list to review, it says "No SCM Configuration could be determined reason: cannot run program p4".   Here is the error log.

Error invoking groovy script from trigger

Hi,
I am trying to add a comment to the review file using groovy, but I am getting the following error
java.io.IOException: ccollab --url http://localhost:8080 --user ***** --password ***** --quiet --non-interactive admin review comment create --file MyFile.java --line-number 30 1 Firstautocomment CreateProcess: error=2 .

Any thoughts why it could not be working. The script works fine when I execute it from command prompt or groovy ui.
Can you please provide some input on this.

My trigger configuration
Executable: C:\Software\groovy-2.0.2\bin\groovy.exe
Parameter: C:\CodecollabratorDemo\temp\ParseFB.groovy

Web client "Attach Checked-In Changelist" only shows partial list

The drop down for version control from the web client "Attach Checked-In Changelist" feature is only showing 5 of our ~10 version control systems in the list. Where is this parameter being generated from? If 5 an arbitrary maximum how can this list be prioritized?

Hi Team,

I have installed codecollaborator server and client on different machines

My Environment Details :

OS: Redhat Linux 5.6
Java: java version "1.6.0_14"
Codecollaborator server: 10.10.10.99
Codecollaborator client and SVN server : 10.10.10.98
SCM: subversion

Both server and client installed successfully but when i am trying to configure Subversion repo through codecollaborator server connection is not establishing
From codecollaborator client i am able to communicate to server using http://10.10.10.99:1010

Prompting for password for every task in Eclipse JUNO using v6.5, CVS

While using Eclipse JUNO (v4.2) and having v6.5.6511.004 of the Code Collab Eclipse plugin installed, while attempting to do a code review (CVS), I am experiencing the following odd behaviors:

1 - Goto Code Collab perspective, double-click on code review in Action Items, review opens. Unable to double click on a file in the review. Workaround, I can right-click on a file and choose open. What happened to the double-clicks?
1.1 - When I click on a change in the opened file, then attempt to click on the New Conversation on line XX edit box in the Conversations View, the line number changes to line 1.
2 - Every activity I am prompted to enter in my password. The dialog says: "CodeCollaborator client credentials invalid. Please supply a valid password." My password is never saved.
2.1 - When I goto the Preferences page for Code Collab, goto Server Connection. I can see my server url, and my user name, but there is no field to enter in my password.

This is very cumbersome to use this way, any ideas on how to resolve these issues? And I know the password I am entering is correct, because each task completes successfully.
