Listener events not getting registed when running through maven

I have a java utility created by implementing the 

TestRunListener,

ProjectRunListener

TestSuiteRunListener

 

The utililty jar when placed in soapui /ext is able to register the events and thereby create the reports when running the test suite.

 

The same utility when running through maven soapui plugin is not registering any events:

 

1) I placed the utility in the <maven project>/ext location

2) created xml file in the <maven project>/listener location

3) Used the soapui maven plugin 5.7 to run the scripts

4) the scripts run, and in the logs I see it registered the listener classes for suite, project and the test step

 

However after the script execution I do not see the report file generated, I tried to add debug lines by flushing to the soapui logs as

well as the system out. nothing printed out proving those methods(beforeRun , afterRun) were not even called

 

Can someone provide some pointers here if the soapui listeners work with soapui maven plugin ?

    You've set up SoapUI listeners in a Java utility, and they work when placed in SoapUI's /ext directory but not when running through the Maven SoapUI plugin. You've followed the right steps but can't generate the expected report files.     So neither printed in the console nor in any of the log file of your debug statements?

     

    Can you please share pom.xml?

    I never tried, but you can give it a try and see.

    Define the following properties in the pom.xml and see if that helps?

    soapui.ext.libraries=/path/to/extension/directory
    soapui.ext.listeners=/path/to/directory/where/xml-is-placed

    Added the properties as suggested, don't seem to be working

    </soapuiProperties>

     

    The listeners classes was getting added before as well, just the events are not getting

    registered. Do we know if the soapui listeners to be working with the maven plugin ?

    What is the name of the xml file where you have defined the listeners?

    extentreport-listeners.xml and this is in the /listeners folder

    Ok, thanks.

    Can you try renaming to extentreport-soapui-listeners.xml and see if that helps?

     runs the test, as you see it is loading the listerners

     but nothing called within the beforeRun or anyother listerner class methods
